I am a computer science researcher interested in everything networked. My goal is to make networks that are intelligent, secure, robust, and blazing fast. My research is cross-disciplinary, involving computer networking, distributed systems, security, machine learning, and program analysis. I am certainly not an expert in all these topics, so the key ingredient for any successes I may have is a triplet: my amazing students, researchers, and collaborators!

• [09/2022] Automatic Generation of Network Function Accelerators Using Component-Based Synthesis accepted to ACM SIGCOMM SOSR 2022.
• [07/2022] European Horizon ACES project accepted (8.5M€, 11 partners), on AI/ML for the edge. I will be Coordinator.
• [07/2022] National FCT Myriarch project accepted (250k€, 3 partners). I will be Principal Investigator, with Daniel Corujo (Aveiro) as co-PI. The goal is to design the framework for an inter-Internet architecture. Partners: IT-Aveiro; Faculty of Sciences ULisbon. Advisory Board: Jon Crowcroft (Univ.
